Özata Shipyard in Yalova launched the ship named ‘Gharb Al Qurna 1’ it has built for Iraq’s South Oil Company. The platform support ship will be delivered in September.
Gharb Al Qurna 1, the first of the two platform support ships built from aluminum material for Iraq’s South Oil Company by Özata Shipyard in Yalova was launched with a ceremony.
Metin Oral, Mayor of Altınova Municipality, Nurullah Kaya, Governor of Altınova District, the aldermen, Özdemir Ataseven, Chairman of the Board of Özata Shipyard, and Özata Shipyard executives and staff attended the launch ceremony for Gharb Al Qurna 1, the platform support ship ordered from Özata Shipyard by Iraq’s South Oil Company.
It was reported that the 47.5 meter long and 9.6 meter wide platform support ship named Gharb Al Qurna 1, built in Özata Shipyard from aluminum material, will be delivered to Iraq’s South Oil Company in August. Also, the platform ship named Gharb Al Qurna 2 built by Özata Shipyard again for Iraq’s South Oil Company, is expected to be delivered in October.
